Our mission is to join with our clients to create healthy, inclusive, and sustainable communities.
SLR was started in 1984 by three partners, including Ursula Roosen-Runge. In our early years, we worked exclusively for health care organizations, providing them an integrated set of consulting services that included architecture, finance, market analysis, service delivery planning, quality improvement, and strategic planning. As time passed, we moved away from changing buildings towards changing organizations, and broadened our reach beyond health care, bringing our system-wide approaches to the issues of human and health services, and to communities striving for sustainable and supportive living environments.
Because of our beginnings we bring an understanding of how operations, facilities, funding, and community interplay in service delivery, and what is needed in governing, leading, and managing a purpose-driven organization.
We remain committed to the notion that organizations and communities are best served when we provide tailored, pragmatic, inter-disciplinary services, which support strategic and systems-thinking and recognize the complexity of the world we all live and work in.
